On May 23, 2019, 21-year-old Yuka Takaoka grabbed On May 23, 2019, 21-year-old Yuka Takaoka grabbed a kitchen knife and sliced her 20-year-old boyfriend Runa, who she lived with, stomach open. The police arrived at the apartment building, where they found Yuka sitting in the lobby with blood covering her hands and legs. She would say to them, “I did not want to go anywhere, so I sat down at the outside staircase. I did not call emergency services because I intended to die after watching him die from the stabbing.” An apartment tenant told the media that “The walls of the elevator were covered in blood, and the buttons for the third and fourth floors were also smeared in blood as if a bloody hand had touched them.” When she was arrested, she flashed an evil grin while she sat in the back of a patrol car.
